In order to save paper, per the Mayor's Executive Order to Reduce Paper Use and to Cut Down on Costs, printed copies of materials are available for sale, if you wish to obtain a copy. A FREE CD is also available. (Please call the reception desk at 415-558-9010 before stopping by to make sure we have copies available and to ask for prices). The Planning Department will waive the fee if the requestor is the representative of a neighborhood organization that works with low-income constituents, or the requestor is a low-income individual and can demonstrate that paying the cost would be burdensome. Contact the Eastern Neighborhood line at 415-575-9097 for questions or assistance.

Copies may be purchased at the Planning Department reception desk, 1650 Mission St, 4th Floor between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Checks should be made payable to the San Francisco Planning Department.

An update about the Eastern Neighborhoods Initiation

By initiating the Eastern Neighborhoods program, the Commission did not make any decision regarding the content of the proposals. Discussion of the substance of the proposals began with first approval hearing on May 15,2008, after the required notice period.

Notice of the hearings was published in the newspaper and mailed to every resident and property owner within 300 feet of the project boundary.

The General Plan amendments include the Area Plans as well as proposed amendments to the General Plan itself.
